Worship Ministry Nurture committee cares for the state of Worship in the Meeting and the spiritual, mental and physical health of the members and attenders. It does much of the work done by a minister in other faiths. It provides guidance for vocal ministry and arranges clearness committees for Friends in changing circumstances. Clearness Committees are used for membership, for marriage and for any big change in a person’s life.
The committee also cares for deaths in the Meeting and arranges memorial meetings for worship. The committee provides welcome and outreach to attenders and visitors, and it nurtures those in need in the Quaker community. It also administers a Sharing Fund and Scholarship Fund.
The committee plans the Winter Retreat, and arranges the writing of the State of Society Report.
In our Yearly Meeting, the committee doing this work is called Ministry and Counsel.
