The State of Society Report is prepared once a year in time to be forwarded to the spring session of Willamette Quarterly Meeting. The State of Society report is a self-examination by the Meeting and its members of their spiritual strengths and weaknesses. The report may cover the full range of interests and concerns but emphasize those that indicated the spiritual health of the Meeting.
2020 COVID-19 state of emergency Stay Home, Save Lives orders has changed the way our members interact.
In the past, the State of Society report has helped gain a holistic view of the life of the Meeting. This year we’ve been more isolated from one another. The report will help us know what’s been going on in different arms of our Meeting. The State of Society Report Ad-Hoc Committee has crafted some simple queries to help get the juices flowing. But if another query or reply seems appropriate, please feel free to go where Spirit leads when crafting your contribution.
Please use the form to write a paragraph in response to the following queries:
- What have been your struggles and strengths this year? Were there unexpected gifts brought about by the challenges of the pandemic?
- What were some things that lifted spirit or burdened spirit in 2020?
- How has the meeting met your needs during the pandemic?
You can choose one or all. We hope you will enjoy putting together your honest, informative contribution, and we thank you for taking the time to do this.
